Please don't panic. Let the idiots be idiots.

We're 1-0 baby. Yes the win was not quite as dominating as we had all hoped. I wasn't really expecting a 35-10 win, I was expecting exactly what happened. I cringed when I had heard that Pryor was starting over Flynn. Had Flynn started.....we may have won by 3-4 scores. Pryor is a freak. 6-6 with 4.5 speed, that is a freak. His ability as a pocket QB leaves much to be desired. The Raiders really only had him throw 3 different routes (slants, bubble screes, 10 yard digs). The play that lost Oakland the game was their longest of the day. Pryor had a tight end WIDE. OPEN. on that drive. If he leads the guy, they score, we lose. But he was tall, flat footed, and he nervously floated the pass behind Mastrud, making him stop, peel back, and secure the catch which allowed Laron to chase him down.

Pryor's abilty to scramble, extend the play, make the biggies miss, improvise......incredible. There were times where we dialed up blitzes, got there, but he got away. Sucks. Annoying. Won't happen again. We will adjust. We will figure it out. Veteran heavy teams do that.

Offensively we were absolutely PERFECT.......for 3 drives. The 8 in between the three I am talking about we were atrocious and predictable. I feel that Castonzo has regressed as a LT. He cannot sustain a block on bigs. I worry about him now. Mike Mcglynn....you suck. Hugh Thornton needs to be our starting right guard. I believe that would make the right side much better. Andrew Luck, Reggie both proved they are amazing.

Rough start appearance, but it's the NFL. Every team is amped to play on opening day. Oakland has a no name defense, but it's a strong one. They blitz heavily, and tackle well. For playing a relatively unknown opponent, with an EXTREMELY unknown commodity in Pryor...I will take a 21-17 win. The key is we won. Chuckster put it perfectly.......grind it out, and play our best ball in December/January. All these morons that are panicking because we didn't win by six scores are idiots. Just win, be rolling in december and we go from there. Next week the will be a truer test for the defense because we are playing a traditional offense. Little gimmick bullshit because they have a QB who can't throw a true route tree. I think Manusky's blitzes will do us better because Tannehill doesn't quite have the boogie of Pryor.

Til then......GO BLUE.

2 years gone.......BACK BABY

Back. Like anyone really does care. Skipped over a horseshit 2-14 season where we lost 18 to Cervical Disc Fusion.......stumbled out of the gate with a battered up Kerry Collins, lost him, forced Painter in, and so on and so on. 2-14. CLEANED HOUSE. Bye Polian, Caldwell, the other Polian, all of the coaching staff, Joe Joe, Dallas, Diemer, Jeffy, Gary Brackett, Justin Snow.....household names that were a part of the regime that got us numerous division titles, 2 AFC championships, 2 Super Bowl appearances and 1 WORLD championship. In comes Ryan Grigson and Chuck Pagano. They conjure up the smartness to re-sign Reggie and Bert. Smart move. In comes Cory Redding, and a cast of 2-3 vet signings. A draft that nets us Andrew Luck, 2 beast tight ends, and T.Y Hilton. Camp begins with 32 trades for cornerbacks. One of those trades nets us Vontae Davis. Hope is there. Seeing the passion Pagano has for asskicking defenses, the RELENTLESS nature in which Grigson hunts for players that can improve the team gives Coltsnation a confidence boost. The season begins....rough 20 point loss to the bears in Chicago. Flashes of good stuff were mixed in. Week 2 nets us a nice 23-20 win over the Vikes. Then it hits. What I called a "Miracle in disguise". Chuck Pagano is hit with Accute Myolecytic Leukemia. WE ALLLL freeze. A phrase/mantra/stigma/attitude is born. CHUCKSTRONG BABY! Bruce Arians embraces his opportunity to command the team for 13 weeks. An amazing comeback win against the fierce Packers was an amazing way to kickstart it. Off we went through a whirlwind season of great revelation.....Andrew Luck is pretty damned amazing. 11-5. Wild Card birth. 24-6 hammering in Baltimore (who eventually won it all). So here we are. After an offseason where we spent 140 million on 11 free agents. Yes....you read that correct. A newly tooled offensive line, 5 new defensive starters, the preseason is over. A week one dance with the Oakland Raiders (who have 2 punters on their final roster) awaits. The squad is full currently. No waiver wire claims yet. 7 rookies. Great looking offense commanded by a fresh NFL face, Pep Hamilton. So far....his designs are neat. He seems ready to use Reggie, DHB, and T.Y. correctly and often. He knows he has 2 young BEAST tight ends to use as well. His willingness to use the running game is very strong. VIck Ballard and Ahmad are complimentary backs and will be perfect fits for pep's wants. The D is retooled completely. We have a true 3-4 defensive personnel. Not tampa-2 players pretending they know how to play 34 zone. Power ends, true nose guards, 4 linebackers with all the bells and whistles to twist, stunt, cross on blitzes. The secondary is chalked full of veteran ballhawks. Vontae, Toler, Laron, Toine, Darius, and Cassius will construct a stellar secondary with a plethora of starting experience. I cannot WAIT. stay tuned for more people!
